Steiner India is responsible for overall planning, procurement, and structural engineering services at the ‘Lavasa Hill City’ urban development project.

This involves the construction of a completely new city capable of providing living space for 300,000 people. It will cover an area of about 93 km2 in the Indian state of Maharashtra. In addition to this major contract, Steiner India is conducting structural engineering projects in the Mumbai, Bangalore, and Delhi regions.

Ajit Gulabchand
Ajit Gulabchand is Chairman and Managing Director of HCC - one of India's leading construction companies, founded by industrialist Seth Walchand Hirachand in 1926. At the helm of affairs in HCC since 1983, Mr. Gulabchand's path-breaking management initiatives have grown HCC into a modern and vibrant infrastructure player, with a vast business portfolio and a knowledge asset and expertise of more than 3000 professionally qualified people.
HCC has executed a majority of India's most challenging infrastructure projects. Projects executed across India bear HCC's hallmark of worldclass innovation, from Roads & Expressways, Tunnels, Bridges, Dams and Barrages, to India's first and longest open sea Cable-Stayed Bridge in the country's commercial capital, Mumbai.
Mr. Gulabchand is a man with a vision. This is evident through his stewardship of HCC into an integrated group spanning Engineering & Construction, Real Estate, Infrastructure and Urban development and Management. The HCC group of companies comprises HCC Ltd (Engineering & Construction), and its subsidiaries HCC Real Estate Ltd, HCC Infrastructure Ltd and Lavasa Corporation Ltd.
As India is poised to play a major role in global business, Mr Ajit Gulabchand stands tall amongst India's business leaders driving the country's vision of its future. Conferred with the Infrastructure Leader Award for 2009 by CNBC TV 18 Mr Gulabchand was the only Indian business leader to be honoured with an invitation to participate on panels at the UN Summit on Climate Change held in September 2009. And he is one of the few Indian infrastructure developers to actively pursue green policies in project design and implementation processes as an integral part of HCC's business activities.
Mr. Gulabchand is today regarded as a major spokesperson for the Indian infrastructure sector in global forums. A regular participant at the WEF, Davos for two decades, he Chair's the Governor's steering board of the Engineering and Construction community and is a member of the CII-WEF Infrastructure Task force. He is also a founder member of the Geneva-based Disaster Resource Network (DRN) in collaboration with the WEF, the United Nations and International Red Cross. As Chairman of DRN India, he has been involved in disaster management during a number of natural disasters in India and abroad. He is also a signatory member of the United Nations Global Compact's CEO Water Mandate.

Mr. Arjun Dhawan
Arjun Dhawan is Executive Vice Chairman of Hindustan Construction Company. With a group turnover of over Rs. 10,132 crore ($1.56 billion), HCC’s businesses span Engineering & Construction, Infrastructure Concessions, Real Estate and Urban Development & Management. The Group has a knowledge asset of more than 2,400 officers, including 1,200 engineers and employs over 20,000 workers at its project sites across India.
Mr. Dhawan has led the incubation of HCC’s Infrastructure business which has successfully developed and operated over Rs. 5,450 crore of national assets through Public Private Partnership with the Indian Government. He was also responsible for executing the acquisition of Karl Steiner AG, the second largest Swiss real estate contractor, for the Group. HCC’s Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability programs remain an important priority for Mr. Dhawan and he has made significant contributions to Water, Sanitation and Education initiatives.
Mr. Dhawan is an active member of the World Economic Forum and the Confederation of Indian Industry. Within the WEF’s Strategic Infrastructure Initiative, he is involved in helping develop actionable frameworks and best practices to resolve global infrastructure bottlenecks, with the ultimate goal of increasing the supply of well-structured bankable infrastructure projects globally.
Prior to starting his career at HCC, Mr. Dhawan acquired global expertise in the area of investment management across various businesses and industries. As Managing Director of Arya Capital Management in Mumbai and formerly with Trellus Management Company, a $1.6 billion hedge fund in New York, Mr. Dhawan managed material portfolios of equity investments. Earlier with Banc of America Securities, he helped build a proprietary investment group that oversaw $400 million of capital focused on distressed strategic assets. Mr. Dhawan began his career as an Investment Banker in the Leveraged Finance Groups of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and Credit Suisse First Boston. His $6 billion of transaction experience covers leveraged buyout, high yield, M&A and equity transactions in the healthcare, media, telecom, automotive, energy and technology industries.
Mr. Dhawan has a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics & Economics from Middlebury College and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Rajgopal Nogja is the Chief Executive Officer for HCC Group companies.
Rajgopal currently oversees the functioning of Group Companies - namely HCC Ltd, Lavasa Corporation Ltd, Steiner AG, Steiner India Ltd, HCC Real Estate Ltd, Highbar Technologies Ltd, Charosa Wineries Ltd and HCC Aviation.
In his career spanning over 15 years at HCC, Rajgopal has had a meteoric rise due to his business acumen, project management and leadership skills. He started his career in 2000, assisting the Chairman and Managing Director of HCC Ltd for undertaking strategic decisions, initiatives for new businesses, financial viability of projects and operations of the HCC group.
In 2007, after being appointed as the President of Lavasa Corporation Ltd, Rajgopal played a pioneering role in establishing the planned hill city of Lavasa and transforming it into a robust and successful business model.
In 2008, Rajgopal was concurrently appointed as the President of HREL (HCC Real Estate Ltd). He led the development of 247 Park, a LEED certified Gold rated Green Building. Rajgopal is credited with completing the project in record time and also successfully closing its stake sale with a valuation of Rs. 775 crore.
Rajgopal was appointed as Group President, Development Companies in 2011. He became the Chief Operating Officer & Whole-time Director of HCC in 2013 and Group Chief Executive Officer in May 2016. During this tenure, he has taken several initiatives to improve operational efficiency, cost management and productivity that have resulted in high project EBIT margins over last eight quarters. Rajgopal also played a stellar role in the launch of India operations of Steiner AG Switzerland, the second largest total services contractor in the Swiss real estate market where he holds the position of Managing Director and Member of the Board.
Prior to joining HCC in 2000, Rajgopal did stints with Mahindra Realty & Infrastructure Developers Ltd and Gammon India Ltd, where he gained exposure to various functions including projects, finance, sales & marketing and general administration.
Rajgopal is a qualified Civil Engineer with a Master‘s degree in Construction Management from the National Institute of Construction Management and Research (NICMAR), Pune, India. He has successfully managed infrastructure development, residential, commercial & industrial developments, project implementation & management, property management, relocation negotiation, project finance negotiation and feasibility studies, all through his career

Peter Steiner
Peter Steiner is a member of the Board of Directors of the Steiner Group. He served as Vice President from May 2010 to February 2014. He previously served as Chairman of the Board from 1988 to 2010, and as delegate of the Board of Directors of the Steiner Group from 1988 to 1999. Peter Steiner joined Steiner AG in 1973 and became a member of the Group Executive Board in 1976.
Currently Peter Steiner also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Sogelym-Dixence, as a member of the management boards of the Zurich Economic Association, the Zurich Chamber of Commerce, and the Swiss Museum of Transport and as a trustee of the Alberto Giacometti Foundation. Prior to joining Steiner AG, Peter Steiner studied at New York University and at the American Management Association, after which he worked in project management, sales and marketing for the Turner Corporation in the United States.

Arun Kumar Singh is with Steiner India subsidiary of Steiner AG Switzerland from November 2013 as Chief Executive Officer. He is responsible for external and internal business operations and Business Development.
Arun has over 24 years of expertise in all facets of the construction industry in which Past 18 years in real estate and building construction. Verifiable track record for the successful completion of the projects through effective co-ordination, building positive rapport with architects, consultants, vendors, clients etc. He has also demonstrated the ability to build and lead effective and result oriented team.
In his previous assignments he was heading, TATA housing & Development company Ltd, a Prestigious TATA group company as, Regional head Engineering – West.
Arun oversees project development for Total and General Contracts and ensures that projects are completed on schedule, within budget, Quality and safety and in accordance with latest design
Arun has worked as Vice president Projects for HCC Real Estate Which is wholly owned subsidiary of Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) Limited, a public limited company involved in technically complex and high value infrastructure projects. He has a strong project management and cost management experience with an ability to manage building projects and townships and an assurance of a safe and quality oriented job site. Where he completed prestigious projects like 247 Park, and involved in residential township, SRA projects.
Prior to joining HCC in December 2002, Arun has worked for some of India’s leading and most respected companies like Shapoorji Pallonji and company Ltd, Mahindra construction company lts ( M&M group) for projects in MMR, NCR and Chennai.
Arun has completed some of prestigious projects in past. some of landmark residential and commercial structures like state of the art 247 park a largest stand alone commercial building, Mahindra Garden - Goregaon, Mahindra Park - Ghatkopar, Construction of New Paint Shop & Assembly Building at M & M Tractor Division Kandivili, Mumbai and construction of the state of art IT office building for Polaris Software Ltd., Gurgaon, Infrastructure Projects and Highrise in Mumbai and may other prestigious projects.
